A pretty interesting walk down the Clyde River.

Easy
This is an interesting walk on the good tarmac path along the river. This is a perfect walk in the winter when it is too cold to walk anywhere else. There are some interesting scenery along the river too. This is a part of Glasgow rarely visited by tourists, although it is popular, and rightly so, by local fitness fanatics and other local people.

Train from Glasgow Central Station low level, 2-5 times an hour.
The walk starts at the Cambuslang train station. Cross the Main Street and then walk down Bridge Street on a good pavement and then the good sign posted path down to the Clyde River. Cross the river on the bridge and then choose the path to the left onto the river path.

The walk follows the many bends on the river. There are always something to look at here and there is some good wildlife too.

The M4 is crossing over the river and the path and that is an interesting feature on the path/walk. The walk is gradually entering a more built-up area before it ends at Dalmarnock Road. The walk now takes you over the river on this bridge. An alternative is to continue on the path for the next 4 miles/ 7 km down to Glasgow Central Station. I have made this an own walk.

Walk over the bridge and up the Dalmarnock Road and then Farmeloan Road, crossing under M74 to Rutherglen train station.
Train back to Glasgow 4-6 times an hour.
Enjoy the walk !!
